Wirth's Law
Software gets slower faster than hardware gets faster.
Commonly considered a rejoinder to Moore’s Law, this law comments on the tendency for software to expand in scope over time. What’s astounding is that Wirth suggests that software scope expands even more quickly than the exponential growth suggested by Moore. Compare to Zawinski’s Law.
